Spring Baseball this past season I admittedly took on way to much....and I have no regrets. I started the season knowing that I would be giving most of my focus to the Evanston Varsity team. Not only was my cousin one of the senior players on the team, but there were sixteen total seniors on team, most of whom I had been documenting in baseball since 2015. Even more so, there were seniors on many of the teams that they played against that I had also been documenting for many years.

The season for me started with Evanston's games held at Northwestern University's baseball field. The early season games at the end of March were cold, but I had always wanted to photograph the Evanston team when they played games there, and I figured this might be my last chance while my cousin was on the team.

The next leg of this journey ended up in Vero Beach, FL. I usually go to Florida every spring to work with surfers, so this provided an opportunity to catch a game or two. Turned out there wasn't much surf to photograph (very flat), and I ended up at a bunch of games. I loved checking out the Jackie Robinson Training Complex. The baseball fields and old military style buildings and the walks to and from each location provided great backdrops for all the behind-the-scenes coverage that I love to showcase the journey.

After a couple weeks in Florida and a week on Vancouver Island for the Rip Curl Can/Am Surf Championship, I eventually made it back to the midwest to continue photographing all levels of Evanston and Kimberly baseball, with many other teams old-and-new in the mix as well. Evanston and Kimberly's seasons unfortunately came to an end way earlier than any of us wanted, but I am still super appreciative of the opportunity I had with all these guys. I doubt I will ever have a baseball season like this in my life again, connected to so many baseball players over the course of 8 years, and the gallery at the link below is a reflection of this past season and the timelessness of these players and this sport, and everyone involved.

Ordering Information:
For a limited time, each team that I got at least 1 full game in has a gallery available to order from. These galleries are password protected, and the best way to get access to that gallery (if I don't already have a confirmed email from a parent in my system) is to have your student athlete send me an email from their school email for verification. As long as their name matches the team roster, I will forward the login information to them and any email they ask me to. Sharing of the login information is allowed with other parents/players/coaches of the same team.

Huge thank you to everyone who orders packages and has me produce senior signs and other print content for your team. Your support keeps this documentary photographer/film maker going
